Stroke

Many stroke survivors might lose their capability to perform daily tasks, such as maintaining balance, concentrating, retaining information, or even reaching for an object. Occupational therapy can help patients by improving their sensory and motor abilities that have been damaged in the stroke and help them live a more independent life. Occupational therapists can help patients master daily tasks such as dressing, bathing, writing, driving and cooking. It helps the patient recover, become more independent, and return to work.

Parkinson

Occupational therapy can help people with Parkinson’s disease stay active in daily life. OT generally provides assessment, treatment and recommendations in the following areas like arm and hand therapy, handwriting aids, home modification information, leisure skill development, dressing and grooming aids, wheelchair usage and more.

Cancer Patient

Cancer can disrupt one’s life in every possible way. Cancer patients go through a lot of physical, emotional and psychological changes. Patients with cancer often face difficulties in lifestyle, fatigue, and self-esteem. OT can help them to determine their priorities in life, use energy levels, recognize their inner feelings and values, change behaviour, and adapt their changed lifestyle.

Accident

Accident survivors may have physical or cognitive challenges in their lives as a result of impairment or disability, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, chronic pain, and mental disturbance. Occupational therapy can help to improve an individual’s function – at various points during recovery.
